Hi everyone, Noah Olson here with a roundup of what’s going on in Prior Lake—events today, upcoming highlights, and ways to connect with neighbors.
Today’s Events (August 27, 2026)
Looking for something to do? Here are a few options happening around town:
- Deep Purple at Mystic Lake Showroom – Catch the legendary rock band live tonight. Doors typically open early evening, so arrive ahead of the 8:00 PM start.
- Game Night at Prior Lake Community Center – Join your friends or make new ones with games, board/card options, and social time. Great way to unwind.
- Lakefront Park Music in the Park – As part of the city’s summer series, local group SKITZO FONIK will perform. Bring lawn chairs, a snack, and a good mood.
Upcoming Events You Won’t Want to Miss
Looking ahead, several events stand out:
- Prior Lake Days – Coming up Friday evening into Saturday, this is one of our big community traditions, with a “Sip & Stroll” event Friday night followed by a full Saturday of live music, food, kids’ activities, and vendor booths.
- Prior Lake Farmers Market – Runs every Saturday morning, 8 AM to noon, through early autumn. Fresh produce, local crafts, baked goods, and community vibes—downtown Main Avenue SE.
- Lakefront Music Fest – Coming later this summer, a weekend of live music, family-friendly activities, and waterfront hang time at Lakefront Park.
How to Stay in the Loop
If you like knowing what’s happening ahead of time:
- Check the Prior Lake Events calendar, which aggregates listings for arts, festivals, concerts, and more in an easy-to-use format.
- Follow the city’s Parks & Recreation announcements; many events are city-sponsored or partner-led so official sources tend to have the latest info.
- Subscribe to the Chamber’s community calendar and the local newsletter—they share upcoming festivals, business happenings, family events, and sometimes ticket deals.
Hope this helps you plan something fun this week. Got an event suggestion or something you’d love to see covered? Drop me a note.
